About

Sherri Jarrett

A design practice built on elegance, comfort, and disciplined project management.

Design with clarity and confidence.

Thank you for your interest. I have been doing project-based interior design for over ten years. Prior to that, I spent 15 years in the financial services industry, focusing on project and program management.

My passion has always been creating living spaces that are both elegant and comfortable. Combining design expertise with the project management and budgeting discipline I developed in business allows me to deliver projects that are predictable and stay on schedule.

I began my design career by providing decorating services for home sellers and realtors. While a well-staged home can increase value, I found greater fulfillment in working with clients who would live in and enjoy the spaces we created long into the future.

Design Philosophy

Good design stems from listening to the desires of the client, facilitating a process to make decisions and developing a plan and budget. Too often I hear stories of people who don’t know what the costs and schedules are for projects. I incorporate project management skills I have mastered over the years into every project, so there are no surprises.

My Focus

Most of my work centers on kitchen and bath remodels, where thoughtful layout and purposeful flow make all the difference in how a space functions day to day. I focus on how a room is truly used—how people move through it, work in it, and live in it. My expertise is in tile, stone, hard surfaces, and overall room design and layout. While many designers specialize in soft goods such as drapery, furnishings, and accessories, my strength lies in creating well-structured, beautifully detailed spaces through thoughtful layout and carefully selected materials.

Personal

I grew up in Kansas City, MO and went to college at the University of Texas in Austin. I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1999 to manage technical projects for Charles Schwab until 2006. I was then accepted into the Interior Design & Interior Architecture Certification Program at UC Berkeley and have been practicing interior design for the last 10 years. I live in Burlingame with my husband Mike, and our son, Andrew who is in college currently, and daughter, Katie who will be a freshman at the University of Texas in Austin in the fall of 2026.
